SMSL M8A Hi-Res audio USB DAC

The SMSL M8A is the upgraded version of the M8. Higher quality components were used to drastically improve sound quality. One part of the upgrade was adding a dedicated OPAMP to replace the standard NE5532 chip, giving it a more tube-like sound with warmer mids thus reducing listening fatigue. The DAC is complimented by a low jitter clock system and unlike its predecessor, the M8A now boasts second generation XMOS technology with asynchronous transmission through USB connection. This results in an enormous sampling rate of up to 768kHz through USB connection.

All of these features are packed into a tiny, slick aluminum enclosure which is definitely a nice addition to your desktop but doesn’t draw as much attention as the larger DAC’s out there.
